A note from Christine:
I am honoured to be kicking of MAC’s 2023 trialing season with you! I hope you will enjoy sharing your time in the ring with me as much as I know I will.
For those of you who don’t know me… My agility journey began in 2001 with my first Chesapeake Bay Retriever (CBR), Chance. Since then, I have trained and competed with seven CBRs and three All Canadians. For those wondering why Chessies, it is a breed that captured my heart 22 years ago with their strong loyalty and desire to learn mingled with their head strong disposition. And my love for my beautiful and deserving All Canadians has grown out of my passion for dogs less fortunate than our own. As a judge, training and competing with dogs with drive, dogs that leave me to go visit ring crew and dogs that need me to be their cheerleader has given me a true appreciation for the many diverse teams that support the AAC and step up to the line.
In 2004, I co-founded my own agility club, The Agility Connection (TAC), in Kingston, ON. My judging experience began by designing and judging courses for TAC’s fun match trials. I officially became an AAC Starters/Advanced Judge in July 2010 and a Masters Judge in November 2014. Since then, it has been my good fortune to judge AAC trials from coast to coast, including the 2016 Nationals in Montreal and the 2018, 2019 & 2022 BC Yukon Regionals. Judging has been very good to me; I have been to places I would have never been and met some of the most amazing people/teams I would not have otherwise met.
I currently share my heart and home with Fayth, Zoom, Worthy and Mabel the Cat.
My wish for you is that you celebrate every time you step up to the line and run a course like it is your last.
