A note from Brenda: 

“I am really looking forward to this assignment, it’s always a lot of fun to travel and see new folks enter the ring and catch up with teams I haven’t seen in a while.

I have been involved in the sport of Agility with my Shelties for almost 40 years even before we had an agility association! For some perspective, my first dog’s AAC ID #’s were 290 and 291, that’s going back a few years lolI have competed with 9 generations of my own breeding line of Shelties and the fun never stops! Over the years, I’ve been very fortunate to play this sport at a local level, as a National Competitor, Instructor, Judge (for almost 20 years) and 4 years of World competition/coaching and Team management with CKC EO/AWC and multiple WAO teams.

Agility shaped my life and took my down the road of owning my own dog business Fetch Inc. which I started in 2003 and this is where my 7 Shelties get to come to enjoy everyday in a place where my “work” is more like play! When we aren’t busy with Agility my crew love to play other sports too like Rally O, Sprinter, Up Dog, Herding and Scent work.

As I reflect on the years and opportunities I have had in the Sport of Agility this would be my thought: “After all the BIg Stage competitions it still all comes back to the grass roots with instruction and judging at a local level! The most fun always happens at the beginning and that’s in the Starters Ring 🙂 ”
