Agility in Canada
Dog agility introduced into Canada by Art Newman from North Gower, ON
MAC was started by Dorinda Desmet & a friend in her mom & dad’s backyard in Komoka, Ontario. The name Middlesex Agility Club was chosen summer of 1991.
MAC held a fun match to raise funds and get experience for hosting a trial.
MAC held an agility seminar with Darlene Woz of Canine Combustion. This was a great learning workshop for members and participants from all over Southwestern Ontario.
MAC held it’s first trial. It was limited to 75 entries, 209 runs.
First Indoor Trial
First indoor trial held at Kilbyrne Farms near Thorndale
Santa Clause Parade
MAC entered a float in the Santa Clause Parade. The theme was “Here Comes Santa Paws”. The float included a Christmas tree decorated with dog biscuits & toys. The float won the most original prize and the Santa paws sleighs and rein dogs stole the show.
