From Brian:

I first became involved in dog sports in 2007 when we entered my daughter Jennifer (who was 12 at the time) in an agility class with her young Yorkie‑Chihuahua mix, Jazmine. Within a couple of years, after tiring of my constant “assistance”, Jennifer suggested that I should get my own dog.  Taking her advice I got my first sport dog, Eclipse, an Australian Shepherd.

I have been training and competing with Eclipse in agility, dock diving and disc since 2010.  In agility we have competed with AAC, UKI and CKC, including multiple Regional and National Championship and have been fortunate enough to have a number of podium placements.  I now also have a young Border Collie, Galaxy, who is currently training for agility and also competes in dock diving.

Following a cruciate injury in late 2017, Eclipse was forced to take some time off from agility at which point I turned my attention to judging.  I have now been judging agility since early 2018 and believe that my experience as a competitor and student of agility, has served me well.  My goal as a judge is to design fast, flowing courses that are challenging yet at the same time provide safe lines for the dogs.
